ROUGAROU WITCHES

Mais, I’m going to tell you… this is something to see.  We are thrilled to have our “Cajun Coven” of Rougarou witches entertain the crowds with their fancy costumes and dance moves!

The “Cajun Coven” is a membership only group of dancing witches. Members must pay a small annual membership fee of $25 per person to participate in the parade. Your membership will include an invitation to all witches’ special events and dance practices, as well as a spot in the parade itself.  All paid members will be given a special wristband that must be worn visibly at all times during the parade.

The “Cajun Coven” is split into two groups: dancing witches and walking witches! Dancing witches perform the witches dance during the Krewe Ga Rou parade. Interested members are required to audition for a spot by following the instructions in the form below. Walking witches will walk, not dance, during the Krewe Ga Rou parade. Members are required to engage with the crowd and give out candy.
