ZERO WASTE FESTIVAL

The South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center is striving to make the Rougarou Fest a Zero Waste Event.  A zero waste event follows sustainable practices to send the least possible amount of waste to landfills.  The key to a zero waste event is careful planning to eliminate single-use plastics and choosing compostable materials in order to reduce the amount of waste that stays in landfills.
